Thoughts: First and foremost, OH MY GOD I did it. Victory dance!

If you have been following along with me every week, you will know that my diet goes through spasms of almost incomprehensible awfulness. This makes the fact that I still lost 6.4 pounds with Insanity a pretty remarkable achievement in my mind. I am very pleased. Previously, the only weight loss I have managed to eek out of a two month period was a measly two or three pounds. Believe me when I say this is a refreshing change from my usual sloooow weight loss pace.

That said, the body fat percentage is kind of throwing me off a little bit. It is an improvement, but it is strangely smaller than I was expecting based on how much better and more in shape I feel, how much better my clothes fit, and the fact that I lost six and a half pounds, which I am fairly confident was not muscle because I feel much stronger and fitter. I’m thinking that, since this calculator is based on body measurements I took with a tape measure, that I probably measured myself wrong. I can guarantee you that I look and feel a whole lot more of a difference from when I started than .26% body fat. :/

In any case, just the mental self-esteem boost knowing that I can actually do this program would be well worth it even if I hadn’t lost anything at all. It’s an exercise high like you wouldn’t believe…

As I sit here in my pajamas, I have not yet completed the final fit test. I will update later today once I have kicked its butt! :)

If you feel like Insanity is for you, then I highly recommend going for it. You can sit on your computer for weeks looking up other people’s results (like I did before I started) but you will never know what you can pull out of yourself until you actually give it a try. Even if you are someone like me, fighting PCOS, binge eating, or heaven knows what else, the confidence and self esteem boost, not to mention the ENERGY and power, that you get from doing Insanity are invaluable, in my opinion. Go forth, fellow fatty, and conquer.

I started Insanity last week and am trying to get my hopes up because of all the awesome results I’ve seen other people get. Anyhoo, your insanity journaling was very encouraging to me! Thanks!
